Assault anniversaries are tough — and are often an isolating experience. We feel triggered, nervous, shaky, and no one around us really “gets” it. “You’re not being assaulted now,” they might say. “This was years ago. Why does this day still affect you so much?”
It’s out of our control. So, as part of this project, I’ve decided to add a survivor support piece where you can submit the date of your anniversary and a place to reach you at (email or real address). I’ll then send you a personal note or card timed to arrive on your anniversary so that you can get some support and love from afar.
If you’re interested, feel free to submit that info here.
